Doors Open: by David a Designed House Dolcini in Piacenza

One of the last works of David Dolcini, together with the architects Simona Cerutti and Pietro Manfredi, It has been restructuring and the interior design of an apartment which is situated in the Centre of the city of Piacenza. Unique plant, the apartment forms part of a building that was built in the early 1990s on the structure of an ancient Church.

Now they have redesigned the distribution of the spaces and have renewed installations and finishings. The new project divided the House in two main areas: the ‘hospitality space’, the area of common spaces and reception and ‘private living space’, where the intimate rooms are located, and where are looking for relax and rest for the owners of the House.

The ‘ hospitality ‘ includes: the entrance, a reading corner, lounge, kitchen and terrace. All these spaces are perceived as one single, very comprehensive, though there are two spacers: a wall and sliding door that separates the kitchen from the living room when it is necessary and a glass of sliding doors giving access to the terrace.

The kitchen in white straight lines and modern style, which we can see in the first picture of this article, is the Bultaup model B1 with Mutina tiles. The Hall has a beautiful oak parquet with knots of Parquettificio Veneto, Lualdi doors and features ATI LED recessed lighting.

In the classroom the parquet is the same as the corridor to favour the continuity between spaces. Highlights some elements as lamps: Flos Parentesi model and the model Gregg, in suspended version and Foscarini, ceiling.

Main characters of the show are the console and the joint table with chairs by Cassina that you make up the dining area. The living room area and dining room share space, but by the extent of the stay the separation of environments is nothing complicated.

The ‘space of private life’ can be reached through from a Hall that has no natural light, but an excellent lighting which is achieved with a sequence of LEDs embedded in the ceiling. This space includes the main room, along with the main bathroom and a dressing room, another room, an office, a second bathroom and laundry.

In the master bathroom there is parquet as in most of the rest of the House. It is especially wonderful the bath of Kos I can see in the photo above. Other highlights of this bath are Arlex Italy Class, the health Catalan Sfera furniture and faucets Zucchetti Pan.

For the second bathroom, also of very modern and sober that break with details of color, Iris Ceramica tiles have been chosen. The washbasin and toilets in this case are Flaminia. The bathrooms are very functional, comfortable, spacious and with several storage areas.

If with the photos do not become to the idea of the complete distribution of the House, I leave the image of the plane under these lines. In the seen as left the private area that ends right and common spaces are located in the master bedroom and its annexes.
