Directions:

The airport expressway connects Beijing with the airport. Coming from the city, take the ring road and follow the expressway in a northeasterly direction, which leads directly to the airport.

Transfer between the terminals:

A driverless shuttle train (Automated People Mover, APM) and a shuttle bus connect the terminals. A covered path connects terminals 1 and 2.

Public transportation

Public transport – street:

Bus : Buses to Shunyi District leave from Terminals 2 and 3.

Shuttle buses : The Airport City shuttle bus leaves every 10-30 minutes in front of the arrival hall. The buses run on different routes – to Fangzhuang (7.30 a.m.-10.30 p.m., every 30 minutes), to Xidan (7 a.m. until the last flight, every 10 minutes), to the train station (7.30 a.m. to the last flight, every 15 minutes). ), after Gongzhufen (07.00-23.00, every 10 minutes), Zhongguancun (08.30-21.30, every 30 minutes) to the city center (journey time: 45 minutes) and stop at all larger hotels. The most popular route is to Xidan in central Beijing, within walking distance of the Forbidden City. Gongzhufen is located in the west of Beijing, Zhongguancun in the northwest of the city.

Taxis with taximeters (Tel: (010) 6454 1100) are available at the airport. The travel time to the city center is 45-60 minutes. You should be able to present the destination in writing to the driver in Chinese or clearly mark it on a map.

Public transport – train:

The Airport Express underground (Internet:  en.bcia.com.cn/traffic/express/) commutes every 12 minutes between terminals T2 and T3 and stations Sanyuanqiao and Dongzhimen (06.35-23.10) in the city center. The journey time is 20 minutes and a journey costs ¥ 25.

There are banks in Terminal 3 as well as several exchange offices and ATMs in all terminals.

Accessibility facilities:

The airport is completely barrier-free. The airport’s ground staff is available to assist disabled travelers, and a 24-hour service is available at Tel: 10-96158. At the gates of the boarding gates are signs in Braille and markings in the floor for visually impaired passengers. All toilets and information desks are wheelchair accessible and telephones and water stations are located in a low position for disabled passengers.

Parking spaces:

A multi-storey car park that is open around the clock (010) 6454 0814) has a large capacity for parking spaces. Parking spaces should be reserved in advance, as the crowds are very busy at certain times.

Car rental:

Self-drive rental cars are currently not available. Cars with a driver can be booked for a day or a week at the companies CTS and CITS.
